Directions to the Library
This university library, established in 1970, from 2002 is in the "university campus" Pionta, in viale Cittadini - Arezzo, in a very central place near the railways. Map.

Opening hours
- Monday-Friday 8,30 - 19,30
- Saturday 8,30-13,30
- Daily 8,30-13,30 from: 28th July to 6th September, 7th to 10th January and during the Easter holidays.
- July 2 and August 16 (Palio horse race ) - Library closed
- August 15 - Library closed
- From 22nd December to 6th January - Library closed
Collections
The library collection includes: books, documents, periodicals, journals, e-journals, microfilms and microfiches, audiovisual materials and electronic resources.
The Library has always striven to develop richly representative collections in the disciplines proper to the Faculty (language and literature, education, performing arts, theatre, dance, music, painting, law, social science, philosophy, psychology, religion, history ... etc.)

SBS - Online library catalog
The catalogues of the Library are part of SBS online catalogue, which unites all the bibliographical records of all libraries of the University of Siena (also Arezzo and Grosseto), city Libraries joining the Sienese Library Service.
In front of the Circulation Desk there are computers for accessing the library's online calalog.

Electronic library. ASBe -
The Siena University provides access to a wide range of electronic resources helping you to trace books and articles, track down internet resources and view the full text of journal articles.

Electronic library. ASBe - Home
With ASBe-home electronic library, you can access from home or off-library if you are authorised users, using your Siena University email account and password.

Library Services
Consultation on site
Everyone can have access to the bibliographic material of the Library.
Borrowing
When you have found the books or other items in our catalogue, you must fill out the loan cards and take them to the circulation desks where staff will issue the books to you and you should retain the receipt.
Professors, staff, and students currently enrolled at University of Siena have full access and borrowing. External users must utilize the print form "Malleveria" that is available in the web or at the Library circulation desk. This malleveria must be signed by a professor of the Faculty or by the chief librarian (borrowing service) or the Director of the Library and present staff of the circulation desks will make the recording.
There are two main loan periods: Week loan (issued for 8 days) only for items in very heavy demand and long loan issued for 30 days for the majority of books.
As long as no one else has requested them, you may renew loan of books.
Some items may not be borrowed but only be consulted on site.
The maximum number of loans which can be taken by different categories of borrowers are: 3 for students, 5 for graduates.
If you return a book late, you will get fined.
Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services
If a book or other item you want is not available at the Faculty of Lettere and Filosofia of Arezzo Library, we may be able to obtain it for you.
The Interlibrary Loan and Document Supply Service is available for all professors, members and students currently enrolled at the Faculty of Lettere and Filosofia of Arezzo.
Request forms for books and for articles and essays are available at the circulation desk or you may send a request directly to the Interlibrary Loan Office of the web:
The maximum number of loans which can be taken by different categories of borrowers are 5.
The material received by the interlibrary loan must remain at the library and must be consulted, before date for the return, at the library.
The service has a variable cost, determined by postage and / or the costs of reproduction which are requested by the library that has fulfilled the loan.

Interlibrary Loan Lending Services and Document Delivery Services to Other Libraries
The Interlibrary Services provide photoreproductions from the Library's collections to libraries, and lend material from the Library's collections to other libraries under formal interlibrary loan arrangements.
The documents are lent for 30 days and only reimbursement of postage and / or reproduction is required

For detailed help and guidance in finding information on essay, project or dissertation work on a particular topic, both online and in the library, you can apply to Maria Giovanna Marinelli.

Internet & email access
The Library provides Internet facilities for accessing ASB, our electronic library, other catalogues, and for general internet and e-mail access.
On the side of Circulation Desk there are computers for accessing.
Photocopy Services
The Library has a more user-friendly photoduplication service. You need purchase photocopy cards from the circulation desk. All photocopiers are available for use at all times during Library opening hours.
The Services are limited by the current copyright legislation and there are also certain restrictions on the type of material that can be copied.
Acquisitions
The Library acquires materials in many formats: books, periodicals, maps, music, prints, recorded sound, videos, ... etc. related to the disciplines studied at the Faculty, including all texts of the programs of courses of the Faculty.
The library is opening up its "suggest a purchase" service to students. To suggest a book, periodicals, video, .... etc. you think the library should purchase, simply:
